Ryan Giggs urges United to appoint Simeone as new manager

Former United captain roy keane has urged United to appoint Atletico coach Simone Nieto as his new permanent manager.

United sacked their last permanent manager last November, and Souls left the club after a poor start to the new season.

The German international is currently acting coach,

but the club will appoint a successor to Seoul next summer.

At the time, former club legend roy keane said: “Simone Nieto is a good fit for United.

Asked who he would like to see at Old Trafford next season, roy keane said: “It could be Simone.

He has the right personality. He was going through a period of struggle at Atletico, and his time there was almost over.

So let’s go to Simony. He was ambitious and successful there. And he has no problem with his players.

It would work if a coach like him came to the team. That may change soon. I do not think the situation is bad now.

There are still some good things at United.

But they have to be able to call coaches. “If not the right coach, the rest will go wrong.”

Simone Nieto spent the last decade of his coaching career at Atletico, winning eight trophies, including two La Liga titles.

Atletico have won the domestic league title for many years under Simeone and have reached the Champions League final twice.

The 51-year-old Argentine has a contract with Atletico until 2024.
